Early pregnancy ultrasonographic diagnosis and embryonic mortality occurrence in buffalo

, : Early pregnancy ultrasonographic diagnosis and embryonic mortality occurrence in buffalo. Proceedings 5th World Buffalo Congress, Royal Palace, Caserta, Italy, 13-16 October, 1997: 776-778

145 artificially inseminated buffalo cows were examined once a week from day 23-50 to evaluate the effectiveness of ultrasonographic equipment for early pregnancy diagnosis and to investigate occurrence of embryonic mortality within the examination period. The equipment proved to be a useful tool as early as day 23 after AI. Embryonic mortality was detected in 10 cows (6.9%), that occurred during day 30-36 (3), day 37-43 (4) and day 44-50 (3) after AI.
