Forecasting plant cover development in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl' atomic station


, : Forecasting plant cover development in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl' atomic station. Ukrains' kii Botanichnii Zhurnal 56(4): 388-393

General succession trends found in the abandoned zone near the Chernobyl' reactors in the Ukraine are outlined. Forecasting of spontaneous plant development for the next 25-30 years in different areas (including healthy and damaged forests, meadows, fallows, and burned villages) in the exclusion zone is discussed.
