Irrigation effect on growth and productivity of autumn raspberry cultivar 'Polana'

, : Irrigation effect on growth and productivity of autumn raspberry cultivar 'Polana'. Proceedings of the International Conference Fruit Production and Fruit Breeding, Tartu, Estonia, 12-13 September, 2000: 177-180

In 1998-99 drip irrigation efficiency was investigated for autumn raspberry cultivar Polana, allowing raspberry to crop only on annual stalks (in autumn). The year 1998 was moderately wet and the crop was irrigated 3 times, while 1999 was dry and the crop was irrigated 7 times. In wet years, irrigation was inefficient, in dry years it was very efficient: the yield increased nearly 3-fold, average berry mass 47.1%, stem height 18.3% and diameter 24.0%.
