Male priming pheromone is present in bile, as well as urine, of female rainbow trout

, : Male priming pheromone is present in bile, as well as urine, of female rainbow trout. Journal of Fish Biology 58(4): 1039-1045

Five experiments were conducted to find out if pheromone was present in bile as well as urine, of female rainbow trout. In the first experiment, male rainbow trout were squirted with water (Control), 1 ml female urine, or 25 micro l female bile. The values for the bile and urine groups were significantly different from the control (P<0.05), but not from each other.
