Restoration of species-rich grasslands in Belgium

, : Restoration of species-rich grasslands in Belgium. Grassland ecology V Proceedings of the 5th Ecological Conference, Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, 23-25 November 1999: 259-280

Agricultural intensification in Western Europe is responsible for a decrease in surfaces covered by species-rich grasslands. Many studies now focus on the possibility of restoration of those plant communities. The results of 5 years experiments in grassland restoration are presented, on fertile and infertile soil on arable land or permanent grassland.
