Standing laparoscopic ovariectomy in mares using monopolar electrocoagulation and extracorporeal Tayside slipping knot technique

, : Standing laparoscopic ovariectomy in mares using monopolar electrocoagulation and extracorporeal Tayside slipping knot technique. Equine Veterinary Education 12(4): 202-206

The technique was used on 20 mares, 19 Warmblood aged 2-18 years, and a test mare used for training. 18 of the 19 mare had ovary-related behavioural problems. The operation time decreased from 110 minutes for the first, to 20 minutes for the 20th operation. There were no complications.
