A study of the effects of a juvenile hormone analogue, pyriproxyfen, on Plodia interpunctella (Huebner) and Anagasta kuehniella (Zeller)

, : A study of the effects of a juvenile hormone analogue, pyriproxyfen, on Plodia interpunctella (Huebner) and Anagasta kuehniella (Zeller). Iranian Journal of Agricultural Sciences 33(1): 1-9

An experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of a juvenile hormone analogue, pyriproxyfen, on Indian meal moth P. interpunctella and Mediterranean flour moth A. kuehniella Upon increasing the pyriproxyfen concentration in the diet, adult longevity, eclosion, egg production and hatchability decreased while lifespan increased. The pyriproxyfen concentration that completely prevented eclosion was >0.8 ppm for P. interpunctella and 0.4 ppm for A. kuehniella.
