The Forest Inventory and Analysis program (FIA) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service has conducted periodic forest inventories since the 1930s in Oregon and Washington, USA. This work evaluates the historic trends in FIA data in the context of the Montreal Process Criteria and Indicators (C&I) and in the context of examining the compatibility of timber production, while sustaining other valued forest resources.
