Bee venom yield from bee families with two queens in one beehive

, : Bee venom yield from bee families with two queens in one beehive. Zhivotnov"dni Nauki 38(2): 122-124

Apis mellifera was reared in a reconstructed beehive for a colony with two queens. Bee venom was obtained through electrostimulation twice a month using the schedule 30 min stimulation, 60 min pause, 30 min stimulation. The mass of bee venom obtained was determined by a torsion scale with an accuracy of 0.001 g. It was found that the annual yield of bee venom from a bee colony for 15 sessions at 14-day intervals between March and October was 3.804 g.
