Cost and benefit analysis of re-using zeolite added bedding in broiler rearing

, : Cost and benefit analysis of re-using zeolite added bedding in broiler rearing. Veteriner Fakultesi Dergisi Istanbul 29(1): 43-50

The effects of sequential use of zeolite added bedding during 2 rearing periods for 6 weeks each on broiler performance and firm profitability were investigated. Zeolite addition to bedding and reuse of the bedding did not cause a significant difference in groups from hatching until the end of the second week for liveweight gain. However, a significant difference (P<0.001) in favour of the treatment group from the 3rd-5th week, during which more rapid weight gain occurred, was observed.
