Effect of the tillage intensity on shoot and root growth of Eucalyptus dunnii and some soil physical and chemical properties

, : Effect of the tillage intensity on shoot and root growth of Eucalyptus dunnii and some soil physical and chemical properties. Agrociencia Montevideo 5(1): 1-9

The effect of tillage intensity for eucalyptus planting on shoot and root growth, and some soil physical and chemical properties, were studied. Treatments were: L1: chisel plow (30 cm) in the rows, L2: subsoiler (50 cm) and discs, in the rows, L3: same as L2, adding a perpendicular pass, L4: same as L2, adding a second discing and a rototiller, and L5: original pasture. First year shoot growth was greater with more tillage, but in the second year there were no differences.
