Evaluation of inbred lines in Italian Ryegrass

, : Evaluation of inbred lines in Italian Ryegrass. Breeding for stress tolerance in fodder crops and amenity grasses Proceedings of the 23rd Meeting of the Fodder Crops and Amenity Grasses Section of EUCARPIA, Azores, Portugal, 1-4 October 2000: 63-65

One hundred and seventy inbred lines of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) derived from 15 populations were evaluated in Germany during 1999. Significant differences were obtained for tillering, sward density, growth habit, ear length, number of fertile tillers, tiller diameter, flag leaf length and 1000-kernel weight, but not for regrowth, plant height, plant girth, flag leaf length and seed yield.
