In the following explanation it will be shown (on the basis of a grass collection) how to get, to expand, and to maintain the genetic diversity through collecting missions. Further - how by the evaluation trials the value of plant genetic resources will be assessed. The collecting missions will be carried out with specific aims and to complete the special collections.
