Identification and characterization of a dense cluster of placenta-specific cysteine peptidase genes and related genes on mouse chromosome 13

, : Identification and characterization of a dense cluster of placenta-specific cysteine peptidase genes and related genes on mouse chromosome 13. Genomics 79(2): 225-240

In the following study, a <460-kb phage artificial chromosome (PAC) contig was constructed, and a dense cluster composed of 8 C1A cysteine peptidase genes; cathepsins J, M, Q, R, -1, -2, -3 and -6; 3 pseudogenes of cathepsins M, -1 and -2; and 4 genes encoding putative cysteine peptidase inhibitors related to the C1A peptidases proregion were characterized.
