Identification and distribution of vine yellows in Trentino

, : Identification and distribution of vine yellows in Trentino. Informatore Agrario 59(17): 77-80

Molecular diagnosis was carried out in 2001 on material from vineyards in Trentino, Italy, to determine the nature of the infection causing symptoms. Of 238 samples from 159 holdings, 36% were infected with black wood and 13.4% with flavescence doree. The symptoms, the same for both infections, are described and include red or yellow discoloration of the leaves and withering of the bunch before closure.
