Identification and pathogenicity characteristics of the chicken anemia virus field isolate

, : Identification and pathogenicity characteristics of the chicken anemia virus field isolate. V Simpozij Peradarski Dani 2003 Zbornik Radova, Porec, Hrvatska, 14-17 svibnja, 2003: 39-43

A direct detection of chicken anaemia virus (CAV) in different tissues collected from infected chickens was investigated by a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. A set of primers covering the region of 186 bp on the VP2 gene was used for the amplification. CAV DNA was detected by PCR in thymus, bone marrow, spleen and liver obtained from infected chickens. A direct nucleotide sequencing of obtained PCR products was also performed.
