Identification and pathogenicity of Pythium species from wheat root and crown in Fars

, : Identification and pathogenicity of Pythium species from wheat root and crown in Fars. Iranian Journal of Plant Pathology 38(1/2): Pe57-Pe67, en19-en21

The pathogenicity of Pythium species associated with wheat root and crown rot was evaluated during 1995-1996. Diseased samples were collected from different irrigated wheat fields in Fars province, Iran, including Maharloo, Marvdasht, Firoozabad, Kavar, Estahban, Neiriz, Fassa, Darab, Borazjan, Kazeroon and Badjgah. Decaying root and crown segments (5 mm) were washed and plated on CMA containing Delvocid (50% pimaricin), ampicillin, rifampicin, benomyl and PCNB.
