Identification of Molinilia spp. in Prunus spp. by PCR with specific primers

, : Identification of Molinilia spp. in Prunus spp. by PCR with specific primers. Agrociencia Montevideo 5(1): 48-53

The brown rot disease caused by Monilinia sp. is the most important fungal disease in peach (Prunus sp). There are three species: M. fructigena, M. fructicola and M. laxa. In Uruguay, only two of them have been reported. The isolates from infected fruit were characterized through PCR with specific primers (MO368-5, MO368-8R, MO368-10R, MO368-12R).
