Identification of TMV and CMV in pepper in Chongqing area

, : Identification of TMV and CMV in pepper in Chongqing area. China Vegetables (3): 13-15

In 1997-1999, 162 pepper samples with typical virus symptoms collected from fields in Chongqing, China were identified by the diagnostic hosts, stability tests and indirect ELISA. The result showed that the pepper virus diseases were mainly caused by complex infection of TMV and CMV (cucumber mosaic virus). The infecting percentage of CMV and TMV was 79.0% and 54.2%, respectively.
