Inheritance of growth habit and multipoddedness in fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.)

, : Inheritance of growth habit and multipoddedness in fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.). Indian Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding 61(2): 183-184

Experiments were conducted in Jobner, Indian state, India during 1997-98 and 1998-99 to study the inheritance pattern of growth habit and multipoddedness in F1 and F2 progenies of fenugreek cultivar cross UM-305 x RMT-143, UM-305 x UM-117 and UM-305 x UM-128. All F1 plants were indeterminate in growth habits with 1-2 pods/cluster indicating dominance of indeterminate growth habit and 1-2 pods/cluster in all F1 progenies indicate the absence of cytoplasmic inheritance.
