Light-weight hand tools in tending of seedling stands

, : Light-weight hand tools in tending of seedling stands. Tyotehoseuran Metsatiedote (645): 6 pp.

The TTS-Institute carried out a KEMERA funded research project titled "Technology in the Tending of Young Stands" which tested a one-handed billhook, the 'Raiva' clearing knife, multifunctional garden shears (a pruning stik) and power loppers. The work study, in which a clearing saw was the standard, established the suitability of hand tools in the tending of seedling stands, as well as their productivity and ergonomics.
