Massive multiplication of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli (Smith) Dye

, : Massive multiplication of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli (Smith) Dye. Agrociencia Montecillo 35(5): 575-581

Common bacterial blight (X. axonopodis pv. phaseoli (Xap) = X. campestris pv. phaseoli) reduces dry bean yield up to 45%, as well as its seed quality. Bean genetic resistance to this bacterium is the most economic and environmentally appropriate method to control this pathogen. During the breeding process for resistance, it is required to inoculate large amounts of genetic material; therefore, a vast amount of inoculum is needed.
