Medicinal plant resources of the traditional homegardens in Bangladesh

, : Medicinal plant resources of the traditional homegardens in Bangladesh. Journal of Tropical Medicinal Plants 2(1): 99-106

A study was conducted for three months, between January to March 1999, to explore the present status of medicinal plants in home gardens of a village in Dhamrai sub-district of Bangladesh. Six herbalists from the village were selected as key informants. A 'walk-in home garden visit' technique was adopted, whereby the informants visited each home garden in the village and identified the medicinal plants.
