Physiology of fish value in Pasak Jonlasid Reservoir

, : Physiology of fish value in Pasak Jonlasid Reservoir. Proceedings of 41st Kasetsart University Annual Conference, 3-7 February, 2003 Subject: Fisheries: 344-351

A physiological study of fish collected from a reservoir in Thailand was undertaken. The study used 7 species of fish viz. Puntius schwanenfeldi, P. proctozysron, P. gonionotus, Labiobarbus spiropleura, Prostolepis fasciatus, Trichogaster trichopterus and Channa striata. Gill area; number of vertebrae; and values for aspect ratio and gonadosomatic index in these fish species ranged from 0.62 to 69.96 m2; 22 to 50; and 0.62 to 1.55 and 1.25 to 30.00%, respectively.
