Preliminary study on structure and spatial distribution pattern of Phoebe bournei in Luo Boyan Nature Reserve in Fujian Province

, : Preliminary study on structure and spatial distribution pattern of Phoebe bournei in Luo Boyan Nature Reserve in Fujian Province. Scientia Silvae Sinicae 39(1): 23-30

A study was conducted in five plots in Luo Boyan Nature Reserve in Fujian Province, China to investigate the size structure and spatial distribution pattern of the Phoebe bournei population. Results indicated that P. bournei population structures in the five plots were different but in pyramid shape. The P. bournei population in the area steadily increased or matured with approximately 10 803 seedlings/hm2 input. The mortality rate was approximately 82.3% from class I to class II.
