The sources of environmental contamination of soil and water in hill regions identified in the paper were domestic sewage, liquid and solid manure, and silage effluent, supplying 400-43 000 mg O2/dm3, pH 5.3-7.3, 85-2300 mg N/dm3, 72-590 mg NH4/dm3, 20-750 mg P/dm3, and 52-3970 mg K/dm3.
