Research on feasibility to combine Shuanghuanglian powder injection with common antibiotics

, : Research on feasibility to combine Shuanghuanglian powder injection with common antibiotics. Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 9(2): 40-41

As the use of Shuanghuanglian powder injection (SHLI) is increasing, clinical doctors are starting to combine this Chinese herbal medicine with antibiotics to take advantage of western medicine. However, due to poor compatibility, some combinations of antibiotics have been reported to have bad effects. This study investigated the compatibility of 20 different common antibiotics with SHLI by observing transparency, pH values and antibacterial activity in vitro.
