Segregations for alkalinity tolerance in three rice crosses

, : Segregations for alkalinity tolerance in three rice crosses. SABRAO Journal of Breeding and Genetics 33(1): 31-34

The inheritance of alkalinity tolerance was inferred from the phenotypes observed in the F1 and bulk F3 generations of three crosses between two tolerant rice parents, CSR10 and CSR11, and two sensitive parents, Basmati 370 and Pakistani Basmati. All tests were conducted in artificially alkalinized soils at pH 9.8 in lysimeters, and plants were scored by an IRRI method at the adult stage.
