, : Study on the transmission threshold of malaria by Anopheles anthropophagus in hilly land of Hubei Province. Chinese Journal of Parasitic Disease Control 16(3): 131-133

The role of A. anthropophagus in malaria transmission was studied to provide a basis for vector surveillance and malaria control strategy. Parasitological and entomological methods were used in 9 villages of Zengdou region of Suizhou City (China). From July to August 2001, the febrile case rate was 1.89%, the malaria incidence was 0.65%, and the parasite rate and the positive rate of IFA were 0.51% and 5.05%, respectively.
