The first human case of hepatic dirofilariasis

, : The first human case of hepatic dirofilariasis. Journal of Korean Medical Science 17(5): 686-690

A case of a 39-year-old man diagnosed with hepatic dirofilariasis at Guro Hospital in Seoul, Korea Republic is presented. Clinical and pathological findings are discussed. Dirofilaria immitis infection is diagnosed by identifying the worm in surgical specimens. Liver resection presents no complications and the outcome during follow-up is good.
