Bio-morphological evaluation of fodder galega (Galega orientalis Lam.) F4 selection populations

, : Bio-morphological evaluation of fodder galega (Galega orientalis Lam.) F4 selection populations. Biologija (3): 17-19

To develop a Lithuanian cultivar of galega (G. orientalis), selection experiments were conducted at the Lithuanian University of Agriculture during 1997-98. Morphological and economic parameters were evaluated for the F4 selection numbers received in 1996. Of the eight selection numbers, L 01-1, 3 M+F3+and 1Fix+1 reached seed maturity in the shortest period.

The effect of a two-month reduction in N supply from 100 p.p.m. to 10 p.p.m. at various times during the growing season was observed with 3 apple varieties. Leaf N content was reduced with low N supply, but no significant effect on growth was appa...
