, : Chemical composition and ruminal degradability of fruits of some woody legumes of a tropical dry forest. Zootecnia Tropical 21(2): 149-165

During the dry season in a tropical dry forest of the southern area of the Aragua state in Venezuela, the fruits of native woody legumes, Chloroleucon manguense, Pithecellobium saman Enterolobium cyclocarpum, Acacia macracantha, Senna atomaria, Caesalpinia granadillo, and C. coriaria, commonly consumed by the ruminants were evaluated. To determine their chemical and structural composition as well as mineral contents, these fruits were divided into entire fruit, seed and fruit without seed.
