In vitro and in vivo studies were conducted to find out the effect of niacin and nicotinamide on rumen fermentation. To test the best level of niacin and nicotinamide on rumen fermentation, the various levels of niacin tested were 0, 50, 100 and 200 ppm whereas nicotinamide levels were 0, 50, 100, 200 and 400 ppm of the substrate which comprised of concentrate mixture and wheat straw (40:60).
