Cultural management of oca, papalisa and isano cultivars

, : Cultural management of oca, papalisa and isano cultivars. Manejo sostenible de la agrobiodiversidad de tuberculos andinos: sintesis de investigaciones y experiencias en Bolivia: 99

Investigations were conducted within the framework of the Andean Root and Tuber Biodiversity Project (PBRTA) in the province of Cochabamba, Bolivia, to study traditional farming systems and find possibilities to improve production of oca (Oxalis tuberosa), papalisa (Ullucus tuberosus) and isano (Tropaeolum tuberosum), important sources of family food and income. Seed tuber quality and effect of positive selection on yield of oca and papalisa are considered.
