Diversification opportunities emerge from bore capping

, : Diversification opportunities emerge from bore capping. Australian Landcare (June): 37-39

The Carnarvon Artesian Basin of Australia has an estimated 120 pastoral bores drilled into the system up to 1000 metres deep. The bores date back ~100 years. The water has been carbon-dated as far back as 30 000 years, and with 70 of the original 120 bores continuing to flow, this unique resource was obviously coming under pressure.
