Effect of triazophos 40 EC and benfuracarb 50 SP on gall formation and reproductive potential of Meloidogyne incognita infesting okra

Two chemicals viz., triazophos 40 EC and benfuracarb 50 SP each at 100, 200 and 400 ppm were evaluated, as seed soaking and soil drenching treatments, for their efficacy against Meloidogyne incognita infesting okra under laboratory conditions in pots. The results revealed that soil drenching was more effective as compared to seed soaking in reducing the gall formation, number of egg masses and number of eggs per egg mass. Triazophos was more effective than benfuracarb at all the concentrations used.
