Evaluation of mango (Mangifera indica) cultivars for quality attributes

, : Evaluation of mango (Mangifera indica) cultivars for quality attributes. Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences 73(9): 504-506

Twenty mango cultivars planted in Sabour, Bihar, India during 1980 were evaluated for fruit quality in 1997/99. Fajri produced the heaviest fruits (450.98 g on average). Mallika recorded the greatest average pulp (68.0%) and total carotenoid (4.95 mg/100 g) contents. The highest contents of total soluble solids, total sugar, reducing sugar and ascorbic acid were recorded for Dashehari.
