Evaluation of the vulnerability and risk of disasters in the sub-watershed, Polochic river, Guatemala

, : Evaluation of the vulnerability and risk of disasters in the sub-watershed, Polochic river, Guatemala. Recursos Naturales y Ambiente (41): 43-48

By using certain indicators, the vulnerability and risk to disasters in the watershed were estimated. The evaluation variables were selected and prioritized to include physical, social and environmental aspects, and conditions which imply threats of landslide. With the data collected in the communities, the degree of contribution of each indicator was analysed and the level of vulnerability and risk determined.
