Evidence supporting the role of probiotics in the prevention of allergies and on the immune system

, : Evidence supporting the role of probiotics in the prevention of allergies and on the immune system. Ciencia Pediatrika 23(8): 39-44

Recent publications suggest that the addition of some well-characterized strains of probiotic bacteria could be useful in the management of infant allergy, and could play an important role in strengthening the immune system. The increase of interleukin 10 production supports the anti-inflammatory benefits of certain specific probiotics.
