Fungicidal properties of some plants of family Asteraceae against Sclerotium rolfsii

, : Fungicidal properties of some plants of family Asteraceae against Sclerotium rolfsii. Annals of Plant Protection Sciences 12(1): 207-208

The fungicidal properties of methanol extracts from 22 species of Asteraceae from Tarai region, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttaranchal, India, were evaluated against Sclerotium rolfsii in vitro. Filter paper discs were dipped in each of the methanol extracts (40, 200 or 1000 micro g/ml), then transferred in petri dishes inoculated with the fungus. Fungal growth inhibition was evaluated at 48-, 60- and 72-h intervals.
