Germination and dormancy in seed of Dichrostachys cinerea

, : Germination and dormancy in seed of Dichrostachys cinerea. Seed Research 31(1): 72-76

A study was conducted to determine the dormancy breakage and germination improvement of Dichrostachys cinerea seeds using different treatments which include: nicking; seed extract solution; acid and alcohol treatments (scarification with sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, methanol and ethanol for 2, 5 and 10 minutes); and salt treatments (stirred in potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite and sodium chloride for 10, 15 and 20 minutes).
