Influence of inoculum levels of Rhizoctonia solani on the post-emergence seedling mortality in chickpea

, : Influence of inoculum levels of Rhizoctonia solani on the post-emergence seedling mortality in chickpea. Farm Science Journal 12(1): 83-84

The effects of R. solani inoculum levels (5, 10, 15, 20 and 25% w/w with autoclaved soil) on the post-emergence seedling mortality of chickpea JG 62 were investigated. Seeds were sown in pots containing infected soil in 2002. The inoculum levels at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25% (w/w) caused seedling mortalities of 13.3, 34.4, 53.6, 81.7 and 95.2%, respectively. Results indicate that increasing inoculum levels reduced seed germination and increased seedling mortality.
