Models to estimate phytomass accumulation of hydroponic lettuce

, : Models to estimate phytomass accumulation of hydroponic lettuce. Scientia Agricola 61(4): 392-400

Models for the characterization of the temporal variation in leaf and total dry matter production in hydroponically grown lettuce (Lactuca sativa), and for determination of the flowering period and the maximum dry matter accumulation rate as a function of plant relative development (relative degree-days), solar radiation and effective thermal index were evaluated in greenhouse experiments conducted during spring and autumn. Lettuce Vera was chosen as function of its earliness.
