Poultry cooperatives in Kerala - problems and prospects


, : Poultry cooperatives in Kerala - problems and prospects. Indian Cooperative Review 42(2): 176-182

Primary data were obtained from a sample of 11 poultry cooperatives in Kerala, India, to explore their problems and prospects. Results revealed that stiff competition from the private sector is the major problem faced by poultry cooperatives in Kerala, followed by lack of an apex-level organization, and shortage of fund.
