Real-time PCR-assisted selection of wheat plants transformed with HMW glutenin subunit genes

, : Real-time PCR-assisted selection of wheat plants transformed with HMW glutenin subunit genes. Journal of Cereal Science 41(1): 133-136

High molecular weight (HMW) glutenin subunits 1Dx5 and 1Dy10, which are associated with good breadmaking properties, have been introduced singly or together in wheat, hexaploid tritordeum and maize. Independent transgenic bread wheat lines of the winter cultivar Buster were transformed by particle bombardment to express transgenes encoding HMW subunit 1Dx5.
