Screen shading net is a best measure for protection of cold damage for Navel orange

, : Screen shading net is a best measure for protection of cold damage for Navel orange. South China Fruits (6): 6

Although the minimum temperature in the winter 2003/2004 was not very low, many of the citrus trees were damaged. Investigations revealed that at the same area and growing site, the protection afforded by screen shading net was much greater than that afforded by covering with straw, using a film shed, and use of fire fumigation. Use of the screen shading net is easy.
