Stocking density-related welfare of broiler chickens of two commercial strains

, : Stocking density-related welfare of broiler chickens of two commercial strains. Animals and environment, Volume 2: Proceedings of the XIIth ISAH Congress on Animal Hygiene, Warsaw, Poland, 4-8 September 2005: 174-177

Chickens of Hybro G and Hybro PN commercial lines were assigned to one of three groups at a stocking rate of 15, 17 and 19 birds/m2 of production area. The chickens were reared on litter to 42 days of age and fed standard diet ad libitum. Liveweight and mortality were monitored once a week.
