Study on flow structure and discharge over a permeable rubble mound weir

, : Study on flow structure and discharge over a permeable rubble mound weir. Environmental hydraulics and sustainable water management Volume 1, environmental hydraulics: Volume 2, sustainable water management in the Asia Pacific region Proceedings of the 4th International Symposium on Environmental Hydraulics and the 14th Congress of Asia and Pacific Division, International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research, Hong Kong, 15-18 December 2004: 1801-1808

In order to compute discharge over a permeable rubble mound weir, a one-dimensional analysis and a laboratory experiment were carried out. Assuming a two-layer flow consisting of a free surface flow over the weir and a turbulent seepage flow in the weir, one-dimensional momentum and continuity equations were formulated in order to analyze flow structure and discharge.
