Transfer of elements into human milk. Methods, models, recommendations

, : Transfer of elements into human milk. Methods, models, recommendations. Transfer von Elementen in die Muttermilch: Methoden, Modellierungen, Empfehlungen: 164 pp.

This book comprises a study on the transfer of chemical elements from maternal diet into human milk and incorporates a modelling approach for determining transfer mechanisms. Milk samples were obtained from 23 mothers (average age 29 years) residing in the Nesse region of Europe (covering parts of Poland, Czech Republic and Germany) over 2-8 weeks and analysed for different elements by inductively coupled plasma MS and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy.
