Variability of laboratory fire rate of spread related to uncontrolled atmospheric conditions and fuel properties

, : Variability of laboratory fire rate of spread related to uncontrolled atmospheric conditions and fuel properties. Forest fire research and wildland fire safety: Proceedings of IV International Conference on Forest Fire Research 2002 Wildland Fire Safety Summit, Luso, Coimbra, Portugal, 18-23 November 2002: 139

In contrast to field experiments, the study of fire behaviour at the laboratory enables to choose or at least to better control the experimental conditions. However, even in laboratory conditions, some of the atmospheric properties and fuel properties cannot be always fixed.
